Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

This has always been one of my absolute favorite bible verses. The last few days I’ve been thinking about it a lot. The first part has become almost a litany or a mantra in my head: Trust in the Lord… Lean NOT on your own understanding. Trust in the lord… lean not on your own understanding. trust in the lord… lean NOT on your own understanding.”

With the loss of this 2nd child, I was so angry and so lost. All I could say “I just don’t understand. I just don’t understand.” Then as I was going to bed the other night, this verse came into my head. “Lean not on your own understanding.” It’s not for me to understand. I just have to “trust in the Lord… and HE shall direct [my] paths.”

I have trust in the Lord. He understands what is right and what is needed. I may not understand, but as long as I trust that He knows and He understands and He guides… all is well.

Clinton Admits Planting Questions In Public Forum

From the LA Times Blog….

Hillary Clinton stopped at a bio-diesel plant in Newton, Iowa earlier this week to see alternative fuels in the making and drive home the week’s campaign theme of her energy plan. After a tour, the candidate took questions from the crowd.

She called on a young woman. “As a young person,” said the well-spoken Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, “I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?”

“Well, you should be worried,” Clinton replied. “You know, I find as I travel around Iowa that it’s usually young people that ask me about global warming.”

There’s a good reason for that, too. The question was a plant, totally rigged in advance, like a late-night infomercial. Just before the public forum a Clinton staffer had chosen the young woman, a student at Grinnell College, and asked her to ask that specific question.

Bush Administration Hiding Global Warming Data From Americans

CDC Director Julie Gerberding recently gave testimony to the Senate Environment Committee about global warming and related health issues. Gerberding admitted that her original testimony had been heavily redacted by the White House under “Executive Privilege” and much of that was information on the public health impact of Global Warming.

Pakistan has Maxed Out Donations to Hillary

Like others in the race for the White House, Hillary Clinton has strong words for Pakistan, but has yet to propose the United States seriously consider limiting its aid to the country. But unlike the other leading Democratic presidential hopefuls, Edwards and Obama, she has accepted tens of thousands of dollars from Pakistan’s lobbyists, Cassidy & Associates. Its founder, Gerald Cassidy, long ago maxed out his donations to her.

Melissa Doing OK

I just wanted to inform everyone about Melissa. As many of you know she was in the ER the evening of October 27th with some abdominal pain related to her recently diagnosed ectopic pregnancy. After a few tests they found nothing wrong and sent her home. The following Monday evening (Oct 29th) at 6PM she began suffering from VERY significant abdominal pain (9 on a scale of 10).

I immediately took her to the ER at St. Alexus. Once again, after several tests they found nothing wrong, but she was still in sever pain. Her doctor personally came in to see her and was fearful the ectopic pregnancy may burst… which is potentially deadly. Despite all the tests saying she was fine, he said his “gut” feeling was they needed to operate and remove the pregnancy.

At 12:10AM on Oct 30th she went in. About an hour later the doctor came out and said she was ok, but he is very thankful they did the surgery. Between her last ultrasound they preformed and the surgery, the eptopic pregnancy had burst. Had they not caught it soon enough, she may have died. Thankfully she is ok and returned to work today.
